History
Kennedy Enterprises, Inc. was established in 1982 by Ben
and Joyce Kennedy in Frankton, Indiana. They specialized in
Production Machining, Fixtures, Special Machine building,
and Prototype Machining. In 1985, Kennedy Enterprises, Inc. expanded its operations into the area of CNC Production
Machining. As the company expanded its business and customers
through the 1980's, the 3000 square foot Frankton facility
was no longer sufficient.
In December of 1989, Kennedy Enterprises, Inc. relocated
their operations to Alexandria, Indiana, which consisted of
a new 12,000 square feet facility. At this time, the company
employed 7 people and operated 3 pieces of CNC equipment.
In 1992, Kennedy Enterprises, Inc. added 22,000 square
feet to their present facility. This addition was needed to
accommodate impressive growth in the areas of CNC Machining
and Production Assembly. The increased need for CNC Machining
along with the addition of Production Assembly created approximately
100 positions between the years of 1992 and 1994. Once again
this facility was not adequate to accommodate all manufacturing
and warehousing needs.
In 1994, an additional 12,000 square feet was added for
warehousing. This third addition to the building was utilized
by Production equipment by the end of the year 1999. An additional
35,000 square foot facility was acquired in Anderson, Indiana
in 1999 to to accommodate any future endeavors. This short
history of Kennedy Enterprises, Inc. demonstrates the company's
ability to expand and meet the overall demands of their customers.
